Overview
A Las Vegas nightclub singer (Whoopi Goldberg) witnesses a mob crime and becomes a target for their next hit. Police place her in a convent for her protection and she must trade in her usual wordly habits for a different kind of habit! Goldberg brings laughs and tender moments as she navigates her way through this new environment, making friends and finding her place as the new convent choir director, all the while keeping her true identity under wraps. Mother Superior is no fan of this new addition to her convent, but cannot argue with the improvement of the choir and the increase in numbers at church as the joyful noise brought by the choir begins to open doors to a different kind of churchgoer.
