Overview
Ruthless People is the story of Sam Stone, who is unhappy in his marriage and plots to kill his wife. After telling his mistress that he intends to kill his wife, Barbara, he goes home to discover that she has been been kidnapped. He decides to let the kidnappers keep her, and hopes that they will do the dirty deed for him. Barbara befriends one of her kidnappers and gains her freedom, but soon discovers that Sam wants her dead. Barbara then plots with her kidnappers to get even with Sam, and escapes with all his money.
