Nick Styles is a rookie police officer who happens to be at a Los Angeles street fair when Earl Talbot Blake attempts to rip off some drug dealers. Styles keeps his gun lock locked on Blake as he takes a hostage. Luckily, he is able to outwit the killer, shooting him in the knee and putting him under arrest. Styles becomes an instant hero and is promoted to the DA's office within a few years. Meanwhile, Blake is in prison, plotting his revenge. Seven years after the incident, Blake attempts to escape from his parole hearing, but seems to be killed in the process. With everyone thinking he is dead, he elaborately frames Styles. Now Styles must go to all lengths to prove his innocence. |
