A sequel to the classic Peter Pan, Return to Never Land is set in 1940 when World War II plagued the world. A grown up and married Wendy has a son, Danny, and a daughter, Jane. During the air raids, Wendy tries to cheer up her children by telling them about her magical adventures in Never Land with Peter Pan. Jane does not believe her mother's stories. She thinks it is her responsibility to protect her family as her father has gone to fight the war, and that means no silly stories. That all changes when she is kidnapped and taken to Never Land. Captain Hook has mistakenly kidnapped Jane thinking she was Windy as he tries to plot and capture Peter Pan. Peter Pan comes to the rescue, but all his efforts are doomed to fail unless Jane can get rid of her mature demeanor and find her childish side. She has to begin to trust in the magic imagination can make to be able to return home to her family. |
