Overview
The eccentric and highly mysterious Lionel Twain invites several famous detectives to his mansion one rainy night. The detectives, who don't at first realize how many of them have been invited, are surprised to discover that the house is a run by a butler who is blind and a cook who is a deaf-mute. Once they all sit down to dinner, Twain announces that a murder will take place at midnight. Then he disappears. The rest of the night involves the detectives first trying to avert the crime and then competing to solve mysteries that crop up once the butler is found dead. It becomes a zany race to see who can survive till morning and who can declare themselves the world’s greatest detective.
