Overview
Struggling for years to keep her kids off of the streets of Chicago, Brenda, a single mother of three is suddenly let go from her employer without warning. Suffocating in despair and financial struggle Brenda receives a notice that the father she never known has died. With nothing left for her in Chicago, Brenda packs her kids up and head down south to Georgia for the funeral. Although the family is a bit unrefined, they welcome Brenda and her children with open arms showing them southern hospitality. Brenda enjoys her summer days at fairs and relaxing, which is a much needed break from the stress and struggle of Chicago.
