Calvin, an orphan under the authority of greedy Stan Bittleman, meets coach of the Knights basketball after a game. He and 2 friends obtain tickets for the next game, but not before Calvin finds an old pair of shoes with "MJ" initialed on the inside. They become electrocuted, and when Calvin gets called up for a play against one of the players at the Knights game, his "magic" shoes give him superstar abilities. He gets signed on and leads the team to victory, making headlines, money, and becoming good friend with player Tracy. Bittleman tries to make it so that Calvin must give him all his money, but when that doesn't work, he steals Calvin's shoes. Through the help of his friends, Calvin makes it to the last game but loses the shoes. The team realizes how important he is, and they win together. Tracy decides to adopt Calvin, and the orphanage is taken over by the Knights. |
