Overview
Anna Brady is a well-to-do woman with Irish roots. She loves her boyfriend Jeremy, but he seems reluctant to commit, so she decides that the time has come to force his hand. An Irish legend says that if a woman proposes to her boyfriend on Leap Day, he must accept, so she heads to Ireland for the end of February and plans to meet him in Dublin on February 29th. Her trip takes an unexpected turn due to weather and travel troubles, and she finds herself having to take the rustic route to her destination courtesy of a rugged innkeeper named Declan. Initially, Declan regards her with contempt, but the two of them gradually grow closer, and Anna begins to rethink her engagement to Jeremy.
