Overview
Paul Armstrong is a former legal expert who now teaches at a law school. He is moved by communication he receives from Bobby Earl, an educated death row inmate who appears to be a victim of railroading in a case that involves the murder and kidnapping of a little girl. Paul travels to Florida, where the crime took place, and locates the murder weapon. Although he identifies a likely alternative suspect, further raising the question of Bobby Earl's innocence, things are not as they seem, and he regrets becoming involved.
