Overview
Set in a post-apocalyptic future that is essentially the second coming of the Dark Ages, a 13-year-old girl living in squalid conditions while taking care of her frail father meets a woman who survives the crash of a spacecraft from a privileged region. Vesper becomes a heroine thanks to her clever knowledge of biotechnology hacking, and she knows how to survive in a world that has been ravished by gross miscalculations in genetic engineering. All in all, Vesper's tragic science fiction story serves as a stern warning about what could happen if genetically modified organisms disrupt our planet's fragile ecosystems.
