Overview
John Hancock (Will Smith) is a foul-mouthed superhero who spends his time in LA saving people. However, due to his constant drunkenness, he ends up doing more damage than good. When he saves PR pro Ray Embrey (Jason Bateman), the movie takes a turn. Ray takes Hancock under his wing in hopes of improving the fallen superhero's image. When Hancock meets Ray's wife Mary (Charlize Theron), he learns that she is a superhero too and is also his wife! As the story unfolds, Hancock realizes that the closer he gets to Mary, the closer they both get to death. In the end, Hancock saves Mary's life by leaving her and Ray to spend their life together.
