Overview
Lifelong rivals Max Goldman and John Gustafson find yet another reason to continue their feud when a beautiful new neighbor, Ariel Truax, moves into the neighborhood. As next door neighbors the two middle-aged men have spent years insulting and playing practical jokes on one another. It all traces back to Max thinking Gustafson stole his high school sweetheart decades ago. Now they are both divorced and unwilling to let the dispute die. Because of shared interests, Ariel begins spending more time with John, but Max views it as Gustafson once again stealing the love of his life. Eventually, John makes the decision to allow Max to win this one. However, he suffers a heart attack and while he's in the hospital Max realizes Ariel and John belong together.
