After her mother dies and her father starts dating again, Fei Fei worries that the world will forget her mother altogether. Fei Fei is a brilliant, young student of science, so she concocts a creative plan to launch herself into space. Her destination is the moon. Her goal is to meet the lunar goddess Chang'e, who Fei Fei hopes can help change her life for the better. Along the way, she meets a cast of wild moon creatures who help her along her journey.
