Overview
The true story of British army officer Charles Ingram who won a million pounds on the U.K. version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire. The show's producers became suspicious of Ingram's big win after he earned A‚£4,000 but had used up his lifelines and was certain to be eliminated soon. However, Ingram then reeled off an incredible string of correct answers. An investigation determined Ingram had arranged a clever cheating method. Convicted of fraud, he suffered severe legal consequences. However, the case remains controversial as Ingram maintains his innocence. A fascinating human drama played out in real life.
