One evening, a group of Midwestern teens discuss an urban legend about a supernatural killer known only as the Empty Man.
One of the teens tells the others that if you're on a bridge and find a bottle, you can summon the Empty Man by thinking about him while blowing into the bottle. She goes on to explain that those who are present during the summoning will hear him on the first night, see him on the second night and then experience his horror on the third night.
The girl then proceeds to blow into the bottle.
As the teens disappear mysteriously one-by-one, a retired police officer tries to track down one of the girls. Although nothing about the case makes sense, he eventually puts the pieces together and learns about the summoning.
He also learns to his horror that just coming in contact with this myth puts his life and the lives of everyone he loves at risk of a visit from the Empty Man. |
