Overview
A gigantic comet is on a collision course with earth. The massive space object breaks up into a series of fragments that plunge to the surface intermittently and wreak havoc across various points of the planet. A man takes his wife and children on a desperate journey to find shelter in a facility set up by the government as a contingency for this kind of catastrophic event. However, the family discovers along the way that their fellow human beings can be just as dangerous, unforgiving and violent as the menace from outer space.
