Overview
Laura Pickler (Garner) is the proud second wife of Iowa's champion butter sculptor. She believes in family, strong morals, and, of course, America. In fact, she is so patriotic that she is looking to take the leadership and energy her husband puts into his art towards a possible run for political office that could lead to the White House. However, this all comes to a crashing halt when her husband decides to agree with the butter council when they suggest he retire to make some room for new talent. Not to be deterred, Mrs. Pickler enters the sculpting contest herself finding that there will be stiff competition at the local level from a well spoken orphan, who happens to be black, and a stripper (Wilde) her husband may or may not know.
