Overview
At the opening of Robbie Robertson's young life, he never had much of anything. Half-Jewish and half-Mohawk, 16-year-old Robertson faces intense racism, skepticism, and descrimination during his quest to be a musician. Over time, Robertson puts together a crew of players with erstwhile backgrounds with similar struggles of their own. Playing through a series of their greatest hits over time, the group that becomes known as 'The Band' sparks a musical and cultural revolution that resonates through America. Using archival footage and personal interviews, the musical career of Robbie Robberson and his crew culminates in a farewell concert in 1976.
