Overview
Follow the life of Waad al-Kateab for five years as she lives through the turbulent uprising in Aleppo, Syria. An epic war story from the perspective of a woman living in a war zone, Waad al-Kateab will fall in love, get married, and give birth to a daughter in the midst of a brutal conflict that envelops everything else in her daily life. Eventually Waad al-Kateab must choose whether to flee her beloved Aleppo and protect her daughter, or abandon a struggle for freedom, in which so much has already been sacrificed.
