Overview
Drew Barrymore and Justin Long struggle with the many travails of long-distance romance in this well-reviewed rom-com from director Nanette Burstein (previously auteur of the documentaries American Teen and The Kid Stays in the Picture). He's a bored New York City music-industry exec, she's a newsroom intern on a short assignment from her west-coast home base. When the affair stumbles on the long flyovers and mutual cultural shock, their passel of love-challenged family and friends chip in with some remarkably unhelpful tips.
