In this children's fantasy set in the 1970s, a gentle gorilla named Ivan awakens to find himself trapped in a cage above the Exit 8 Big Top Mall. Together with his friends, an elephant named Stella and a dog called Bob, Ivan plots their escape from captivity. When the trio finds an orphaned baby elephant, they abandon their escape plans and join the custodian's daughter Julia who's on a mission to improve living conditions at the mall. |
