Overview
In a Victorian style alternate world full of monsters, fairies, and other mythical beings, an uneasy peace is at risk as a string of murders plagues a city. Investigating these murders is inspector Rycroft Philostrate, who in his past had known a "fae", Vignette Stonemoss. After their parting, Vignette believed "Philo" to be dead, only to meet him again through a series of misadventures. Their crossing paths lead to a complicated reunion of former lovers. That, along with murder threats and power struggles, lead to a complex series of events in a society on the brink of unrest.
