Overview
Matt and his wife, Karen, decide to surprise Matt's brother, Steve, for Christmas. The couple shows up at Steve's home expecting him to welcome them with open arms. Instead, Steve tries to make them leave and Karen discovers that he has a gun. Steve has also nailed his basement door shut with a cross. He tells them that there is something wrong with the world and that he has trapped the devil in his basement. Matt also finds newspaper clippings about events linked by red yard affixed to the walls all over the attic. Matt and Karen try to convince Steve that he needs help. They also decide to free the man. The only problem? They have no idea what will happen once the basement door opens.
