A young biologist from the Smithsonian Institution travels to the Galapagos to see the islands' many unique plant and animal species. She encounters a well-camouflaged iguana, large turtles, rare birds, a variety of fish and other creatures. Her journey also features a visit to the ocean floor and stunning island scenery with massive volcanoes. She reflects on the evolution theories that famous naturalist Charles Darwin developed with the help of his observations on the Galapagos.
