A biographical film that follows the storied and troubled life of Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt. Documented are the actors many run-ins with the law, including drug addiction and his role in the 1993 bombing incident in Bombay. The film also examines Dutt's rehabilitation, his time in prison, release from prison and his comeback as a movie star. Title of the film, "Sanju," is based on the nickname Dutt's mother gave him. The film plays out in a series of flashbacks of Dutt's life, his 37-year film career and also features narrations by those who knew him. |
