Sequestered in the foothills of Budapest, Endre, manager of a slaughterhouse, is afflicted by his crippling handicap. As such, Endre's disabled arm and uncultivated behavior are responsible for his solitary lifestyle. However, in an unlikely turn of events, Endre is taken by the abattoir's new quality-control inspector. Bonded by their off-kilter quirks, Endre and Maria quickly become star-crossed lovers. As their relationship blossoms, they're met with unfamiliar feelings of endearment.
