Darcy is an intelligent high school student looking forward to college with her steady boyfriend, Stan. Although the two have never had sex, they take a chance and spend a night together. The evening ends up as a milestone in their tumultuous lives. After missing her period, Darcy discovers she is pregnant. The couple decides on an abortion, but they back out at the last moment. Darcy tries to enjoy senior year as a pregnant woman, but the prom is the breaking point where their daughter decides to join the world. As a struggling couple, Darcy stays home with the baby as Stan works a part-time job. They both hold resentments toward one another and their families, making it difficult to enjoy their new bundle of joy. They must learn to live their new lives and thrive together. |
