Overview
The series is adapted from the books written by Sherryl Woods. The main character, Abby O'Brien Winters,comes back from New York to her hometown which is Chesapeake Shores, Maryland. She returns after getting a phone call from her sister. Her career in the city as well as going through a divorce and caring for her children have kept her from going home. Returning home to help her sister with her failing business venture means that she will have to deal with a past that she hasn't thought about for a long time including her first love. She also has to deal with her dysfunctional family that gets more complicated when her estranged mother comes back to town.
