Overview
To say that Tanna is a modern day Romeo and Juliet would be a bit misleading. This story of forbidden love takes place in the South Pacific on the island of Tanna, home to one of the last truly tribal societies in the world. On this volcanic island, covered by a tropical rainforest, tradition is the way of life, and tradition dictates that a young man and woman enter into prearranged marriages. Tanna deals with the actions and consequences of a young couple who choose love over tradition.
