Overview
In My Life as a Zucchini, a young boy, Courgette, comes to terms with the unexpected death of his mother. He is befriended by a kindly police officer, Raymond, who accompanies him to his new home: an orphanage. Courgette initially has a difficult time adjusting to his new life. The other children tease him, and they steal his one cherished belonging, a kite. Eventually, however, Courgette makes friends with the other orphans and falls in love with a girl named Camille. By the end of the film, Camille, Raymond, and the other children teach Courgette the importance of trust, love, and found family.
