Overview
Based on James Baldwin's unfinished and last manuscript, this film turns them into a living essay. The film follows the passionate lives and unfortunate assassinations of the author's friends and iconic figures, Medgar Evers, Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr. I am Not Your Negro narrates these historic events with the thoughts of Baldwin, as he connects each event to one another. This film tells the story of race and injustice through the eyes of someone that experienced it up close and personal.
