Overview
A legendary rock star (Marianne) and her partner, a famous filmmaker (Paul) vacation on Pantelleria, a volcanic island near Italy. Their sunny, quiet vacation is disrupted by the arrival of a record producer and previous love interest Harry, as well as his daughter Penelope. The nostalgia and interpersonal drama of reunion spiral into complications for Marianne and Harry in their other relationships with Paul and Penelope. Each step brings them dangerously closer to detonation and violence in an idyllic setting.
