Overview
An aging actor during World War II known only as "Sir" has one person that perhaps knows and understands him better than himself: A "dresser" named Norman who prepares Sir before he walks out onto the stage for each performance. Norman sees that Sir is unwell, but continues to provide him with all of the out-spoken support he can even as the actor's mental and physical health take a downward turn. Although others believe it's time for Sir to stop acting, Norman feels that Sir would only benefit from continuing as King Lear in the play of the same name.
