Overview
Sister Caroline and Charlotte von Lengefeld have a close, loving relationship. With Caroline married, albeit unhappily, Charlotte embarks on the search for a husband befitting the family's station. Friedrich Schiller, a young and handsome writer, charms not only younger sister, Charlotte, whom he meets when he asks for directions, but older, married sister, Caroline, as well. The sisters and Friedrich begin a very unconventional relationship pact, with Caroline and Charlotte sharing Friedrich's love between the two of them.
