“Backstrom” is a comedy drama TV show, based on characters from the Swedish book series by Leif G. W. Persson. The series follows a misanthropic police detective (played by Rainn Wilson) who struggles with being overweight, unpredictable and a complete wildcard. The main character constantly struggles with his inadequacies yet manages to solve the cases, through the help of his team. The TV show was developed by Hart Hanson, who was famous for transforming Kathy Reich’s Temperance Brennan series into the TV show “Bones”. It premiered on January 22, 2015. |
