Overview
Red Bovie is a cattle rancher in Texas who is getting older. He has a grouchy and irritable personality. Bovie was given no choice but to surrender his land and ranch. He doesn't have the money to pay for any home other than one in a trailer park. He has no desire to retreat calmly off into a depressing trailer park residence, however. He opts to take off in his Cadillac and enjoy a road trip with Gally, his grandson. Gally is totally brand new in Bovie's life. The goal of Bovie's road trip is to experience a final hurrah chock-full of alcohol, ladies and guns, Old Mexico style. Gally is the son of Bovie's son, Jimmy. Bovie hasn't had a relationship with Jimmy for a long time.
