Irving Steinbloom was an acclaimed folk singer-songwriter. Now that he has died, his son wants to memorialize him, so he decides that the best way to do that is to hold a concert event that will reunite the other musicians who worked most closely with Irving. He settles upon an evening that will feature music from three groups: the romantically complicated duo Mitch and Mickey, the cheerful New Main Street Singers and the overly intellectual The Folksmen. Everyone in these groups has a distinct personality, and given the complicated ties that bind those in the folk community together, there is a great deal of drama involved in bringing all of these people together. Will they be able to perform this concert, or will feuding intervene? |
