Overview
At Oxford University, a physics professor has a theory: a poltergeist can be created from the energy that is confined within a human being. In 1974, Professor Coupland gains the interest of a small group of students. They journey away from the University with him in order to film a series of experiments that will test his theory of the supernatural. After being repeatedly sent away from multiple foster homes, young Jane Harper is chosen. She is withdrawn and plagued with horrific memories unbeknownst to anyone. When experiments on the girl are undoubtedly successful, the results are horrifying. Manifestations of her suffering soon become painfully real and the reality of this poltergeist begins to hit the team of student researchers in tangibly alarming ways.
