Overview
From seemingly out of nowhere, a young American boy appears in a rural district of China. Unable to find his parents or evidence of his entry into the country, Chinese officials send him to the United States. The boy indicates to immigration agent J. Martin Bellamy, who has been assigned to find him a home, that he's from Arcadia, Missouri. Bellamy takes him to Arcadia and soon learns that he's eight-year-old Jacob Langston who died 32 years ago during a drowning incident. Then, another dead person re-appears. Resurrection is based on author Jason Mott's The Returned. It explores the mystery of behind the resurrection of the dead and follows the townspeople as they struggle to understand what is happening to them.
