Overview
Grace Rose Trey is a talented and charismatic singer who cherishes dreams of stardom, but so far the only people who are aware of her gift are the members of Freedom Community Chapel, the church where she sings every week. Her father Johnny, who is now the praise director for the congregation, lived the rock and roll life, getting a major hit on the Billboard charts and then tanking and losing himself in drugs and hard living before finding Christianity. Despite her father's cautionary tale, Grace becomes desperate to break out of her small-town Alabama life. She abruptly moves to Los Angeles under the representation of her father's old manager, but while stardom looms, she may find it's not all it's cracked up to be.
