Overview
Romeo and Juliet are two teenagers from rival families. At a party, they meet each other and fall in love at first sight, but they know that their love is doomed because of their parents' prejudices. What's more, Juliet is set to marry someone else. Nonetheless, the two marry in secret with help from Juliet's nurse and a priest who is a friend of Romeo's. Their troubles are only beginning, however, and each of their families suffers the consequences as the Capulets and the Montagues square off. The newlyweds concoct a dangerous plan to begin a life together, but fate conspires against them. Will they manage to survive their mad young passion - and if not, might their families see the error of their ways?
