Overview
Madeline and Helen have been friends for years, but Madeline is a rising Broadway star while Helen remains a struggling writer. Being a truly horrible best friend, Madeline tempts Helen's boyfriends away every time she has a chance. After several years, Helen's psyche breaks and she is committed to a psychiatric ward for obsession. She wants Madeline out of her life and plots to kill her. Tangled in this psychotic web is Dr. Ernest Menville. Originally dating Helen, Ernest falls for Madeline, marries her, and becomes her doting plastic surgeon. Helen returns from the psychiatric ward looking healthy inside and out. Madeline and Ernest are amazed at her comeback, but Helen has other dark goals to achieve with Ernest as the grand prize. Madeline must find a way to compete with the unnaturally youthful Helen.
