Overview
A film student named Alex has become interested in the found footage film "Grave Encounters" and believes it to be real. Online, he is contacted by someone who claims to live near the hospital where the first film was made and offers to help. Alex and his crew learn that everyone associated with the first film is missing except for its producer and travel to the location to begin filming their own investigation. One by one, Alex's crew is picked off and killed. The survivors then discover Lance, the director of the first film, is insane and living in the hospital. Alex alone escapes with the footage which is then released as a fictional film by the producer.
