Overview
The real life story of Canadian legend Edwin Boyd is dramatically retold. Boyd returns home to Canada after serving in WWII to find the opposite of a hero's welcome. He struggles to put food on the table for his family as he suffers from delusions of becoming a big time acting star. After being repeatedly shunned by his community and family members alike, Boyd resorts to flashy bank robberies to make ends meet. He puts together a sordid group of criminals to pursue this perilous road, and together they gain local fame.
