In this latest entry in horror's "found footage" genre, a gang of miscreants is tasked with the seemingly simple job of stealing a video tape from an abandoned house at nightfall. The assignment turns out to be more difficult than they thought as the desolate home contains thousands of tapes filled with ghastly images that the each thief finds himself powerless against, helpless to watch. We are treated to a series of macabre found footage stories, including tales of demonic dates, vengeful lovers, an invisible killer in the woods, grotesque alien abductions, ritual sacrifice and a Halloween haunting. The burglars have more to worry about than the horrific videos, however. As the each sit, glued to the TV, something in the house is stalking them. |
