Overview
Frank Miller's gritty graphic novel that redefined an iconic character and revitalized a popular franchise is brought to the screen in this faithful adaptation. In part one of a two part series, it is the near future and Gotham City is a ruined landscape of crime and depravity. With its protector in long retired following the death of his partner, Gotham has fallen under the control of a massive gang of feral, dangerous adolescents known as The Mutants. The release of seemingly reformed Harvey "Two Face" Dent from prison sends Batman back into action as he recruits a new Robin, tracks the missing Dent and battles the savage Mutants. As the aged hero faces battles on all fronts, an old archenemy prepares for his own return.
