| Overview Hannah, a 19-year-old college student has epilepsy and asthma. After collapsing on stage performing in a university play, her parents discover that she has also been suffering from depression, feeling unwanted and lost. After an argument, Hannah learns that she is adopted and her biogical mother had attempted to abort her. She experiences a range of emotions and seeks advice from her best friend Jason who invites her on a spring break trip to New Orleans. Against her parent's advice due to health reasons, she joins Jason and his friend on the trip so that she can seek out answers about her birth in Mobile, Alabama. She finds her birth mother through the nurse who signed her birth certificate. Angered by her rejection, she also learns she had a twin brother. Her father finds her and takes her home. She learns that her parents adopted her from a pregnancy crisis center after losing their own set of twins, and that her own twin bother didn't survive. Hannah encounters a priest and learns about forgiveness. Her friendship with Jason turns romantic. |
