Lieutenant Theodore Kojak works in the New York City Police Department's Eleventh Precinct. He's a tough cop working some of the toughest neighborhoods but he's honest. He has a reputation as being a bulldog in an investigation. He never gives up when in pursuit of a criminal. He might occasionally bend a rule or two to bring an obvious criminal to justice too. In an effort to quit smoking, Kojak often has lollipops on hand almost constantly, so they have become a trademark along with the phrase, "Who loves ya, baby?" Eventually, Kojak becomes the commander of Manhattan's South Precinct. He runs the detective squad with many great detectives like Detective Bobby Crocker, Detective Stavros and Detective Saperstein. They work together to bring in dangerous criminals.
