Championing the common man's cause, Jedediah Tucker Ward is a lawyer who primarily takes on clients he feels are being taken advantage of by rich corporations who have the money to bury them. His focus on ethics leads him to a case revolving around a car model that has the potential to burst into a ball of flame with any heavy impact. Although Jedediah is initially confident of his case's success, complication arises for him on a personal level when the attorney representing the car manufacturer, Jedediah's corporate antithesis, is revealed in court as his estranged daughter, Maggie Ward. While both Jedediah and Maggie struggle to win for their respective clients, they must also confront the complications of their relationship. |
