Overview
In ancient times, the arena was a place where gladiators met to fight to the death and establish their reputations as gods of the arena. One of the most famous gladiator of all time was Spartacus. But before Spartacus even stepped foot in an arena, he was preceded by a legion of other warriors who all made their name in the sands of the arena floor. Gannicus is the very first champion for the House of Batiatus and he was known as the god of the arena long before Spartacus was even born. The tales of many of the gods of the arena before the rise of Spartacus are stories that create the important foundations for gladiator lore and history.
